Spicy White Bean Soup (Vegan)

Spice up your life with this caliente white bean soup. Like so many recipes on my site, it’s a great meal for anyone trying to lose weight. But what’s life if we don’t enjoy it? With this soup, you can live life to the fullest! This is a low-cal, low-sodium recipe with great protein content. It’s also super simple! Cut a few things, turn on the burner, and in an hour enjoy a delicious, homemade meal! But that’s just my opinion. Get out there and try it for yourself! 1 Cup Dry Great Northern Beans

4 Cups Water

2 Medium Red Potatoes

1 Carrot

1 Red Onion

4-5 Basil Leaves

1 Tbs. Garlic

1 Tsp. White Pepper

1 Tsp. Salt


  1. Put water and beans into a large cooking pot. Bring to boil.
  2. Chop vegetables and basil. Add vegetables, basil, and spices to the pot. Reduce Heat to medium.
  3. Cook for 1 hour, or until beans and vegetables are soft. Stir Occasionally.


White Pepper – The white pepper determines how spicy this recipe is. Adjust it according to preference.

Serves: 3-4 Cooking Time: 1 1/2 hrs.(Mostly Unattended) Difficulty: Easy
